CDP152 Personal Assistant to Child Quote ref: CDP152 on application form Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Part-time Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF A young, 16 year old who has autism living in the Whitchurch area of Cardiff. I have limited communication but can verbalise at a basic level. I love to go bowling, cinema, swimming, museum and browsing charity shops, beaches and walking. I am of a very calm and pleasant nature however I do walk very fast but all you have to do is ask me to slow down or stop and I will do if told. I can be comical and you can benefit from this. PURPOSE OF THE JOB To ensure I am safe at all times as I have no sense of danger especially crossing roads and in busy places. HOURS OF WORK This is a casual position to cover my current Pa's annual leave and sickness. Usual hours would be - 6 hours per week during term time, preferably Wednesday or Thursday - 4:30 - 7:30pm (can be flexible with days - 6 hours on a Saturday) 12 hours per week in school holidays. RATE OF PAY £9.50 per hour TASKS CAN INCLUDE Supporting and keeping me safe at all times Taking me to activities of my choice TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Someone who is mindful of my condition and how it affects me. Someone who has a good sense of humour Must be patient Someone who can be flexible with their time if needed A car driver ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
