CDP1930 Personal Assistant to Adult Quote ref: CDP1930 on application form Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF Personal assistant is required for a 58-year-old man living in Roath, Cardiff. He has capacity so will be able to tell the PA what he wants. He suffers from Chronic osteomyelitis, shoulder impingement syndrome and depression. The hours are to support out in the local community, shopping and to arrange/ support to appointments. He uses a powered wheelchair but sometimes the PA may need to help push the wheelchair if he isn’t feeling well. He will use public transport but doesn’t always need to if the weather is nice as he only lives about 10 minutes away from town. HOURS OF WORK 9 hours per week. Probably split into 3 hour calls over 3 days a week but he can be flexible with days and times so will discuss this at interview. RATE OF PAY £9.85 an hour TASKS INVOLVED To support out in the local community Support with shopping Support with arranging and supporting him to appointments To be responsible for his health and safety at all times TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Reliable and trustworthy• Understanding of confidentiality• Must be able to use own initiative• Patient and friendly ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
