Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

56 year old lady living in Rhiwbina, Cardiff requires a personal assistant to support her out once a week to activities she enjoys.

She has a learning disability and mobility problems, she uses a tripod walker when out and needs someone to ensure her safety.

HOURS OF WORK

4 hours p/w every Monday, 10am- 2pm

RATE OF PAY

£10.40 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

Support out shopping then for a meal. Very rarely she may want to catch the bus into town or she sometimes likes to go for a trip in the summer to Barry or Porthcawl. She will be able to tell the carer where she would like to go that day.

· Reliable, committed and punctual

· Understanding of confidentiality and privacy

· Trustworthy and efficient

· Confident/ proactive

· Friendly and chatty

· Car driver is essential

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
