Part-time Personal Assistant

 

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

 

25-year-old girl living in Llanederyn, Cardiff requires a personal assistant to support her out in the community.

 

She has Down Syndrome, learning delay and epilepsy.  Her epilepsy is mostly controlled as she has now had medication changed and increased.  She is a happy ,funny ,loveable young lady who likes to go to cinema, theatre, bowling , library , doing arts and crafts , quiet walks in the park , having her nails done and eating at McDonalds , KFC etc. but she also likes healthy meals out.  She can be stubborn but not often and past carers keep in touch and have loved supporting her.

 

HOURS OF WORK

8hrs per week which can be done in 2 sessions of 4 hrs any day apart from Thursday.

RATES OF PAY

£9.65 per hour

 

TASKS INVOLVED

  • Support out in the community to places she enjoys. She has a CEA card , HYNT card and bus pass so PA’s can get free access to these activities when required.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
