As I have Cerebral Palsy and a learning disability, sometimes I experience seizures due to my epilepsy. Currently I attend a college Monday to Friday and I am looking to employ a PA for support that I require, to help me access my community and enjoy activities. PURPOSE OF JOB To provide me with support within my community. PLACE OF WORK In my local community. HOURS OF WORK 6 hours a week in term time and 9 hours a week in school holidays. This is split into two shifts of 3 hours from 4pm to 7pm on weekdays to be agreed. Sometimes a weekend would be appreciated too. RATE OF PAY £9.65 per hour. TASKS INVOLVED Supporting me with accessing the community Supporting me with some personal care if required. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Someone who is patient and kind. Someone who is reliable and dependable. Someone who has good communication skills. Someone who may have experience with epilepsy and manual handling. If not, training can be provided. Owner driver. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
