CDP512 Female Personal Assistant to Adult Quote ref: CDP512 on application form Apply now Closing date: 08/10/2024 JOB DESCRIPTION Female Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF 45 year old female with long term mobility issues and multiple health conditions following childbirth. I reside in Whitchurch, with my two daughters, age 20 and 17 years old, in a bungalow that’s fully adapted for my wheelchair. My PA is due to leave on the 12th September, so I am looking for somebody who could step in from the 13th September for a month, covering up to 29 hours per week initially. The position has the potential in becoming a permanent position, after the first month is complete. HOURS OF WORK Covering up to 29 hours per week- with the potential of becoming permanent hours. Happy to work with multiple PA’s or just one. So please share your interest if you can work some of the hours required- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday- 10am until 4pm. Possible weekend shifts (up to 5 hours available). RATE OF PAY £13.80 per hour Mileage paid at 33p per mile. TASKS INVOLVED · Assist with showering and personal care. · Help with dressing/ undressing · Help with transfers between my hospital bed and wheelchair, or in and out of the car. · Car driver/ owner is essential, to attend hospital appointments, GP and dental appointments. · We would need to check that my wheelchair could be accommodated in your boot, if you can dismantle and lift in into your car. · I would also need to check that I could transfer in/ out of the passenger seat of your car, as I find it very physically challenging and painful to do so. · Sometimes you might need to collect medication scripts from the GP and drop to the chemist for collection. · Assist with shopping and trips out. · You need to be able to cook, ideally able to carry out household duties. · Help with paperwork, filing and co coordinating my appointments, so that I don’t miss any as I have short term memory recall. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED · Reliable and trustworthy female requested, who is patient, caring, supportive and compassionate. · Able to use your own initiative when needed, whilst enabling me to access life. · Previous experience as a PA is preferred but not essential. · It’s okay to apply for some, or all of the hours available- including the days that you can work. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
