CDP615 Relief Personal Assistant to Adult Quote ref: CDP615 on application form Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I’m a female living in Canton, and I have Cerebral Palsy affecting my speech, dexterity and mobility. I usually work in town, love to go shopping and to the occasional gig, but am currently working from home and trying not to buy too much online :-) Major TV-watcher and tea-drinker. PURPOSE OF JOB Assistance needed at home with daily personal tasks like the final stages of dressing (buttons, laces etc) and all cooking and household duties. I have two main PAs at the moment, so am currently looking for a relief PA. HOURS OF WORK Relief only up to 11hrs per week I could be flexible with evening/weekend times: 8.15 – 9.45 am & 6.00 – 7.30 pm Mon – Fri 9.30 – 11.00 am & 6.00 – 7.30 pm Sat – Sun RATE OF PAY £9.70 per hour TASKS INVOLVED Assistance mainly needed with the following: v Personal care – shaving armpits, plucking eyebrows, hairstyling etc v Dressing – final stages like buttons, laces etc v Cooking & meal preparation v Shopping v Household duties TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Friendly, outgoing female who’s practical, organised and reliable. Willing to take direction when needed, but also pre-active and capable of using her own initiative. Caring but not overbearing ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
