A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a young lady living in Rhydyfelin with my child; I am a chatty, friendly and sociable person.  I like socialising, shopping, being around my family and my child but I also like being at home.  I have Epilepsy and have fits on a regular basis, I also have depression and anxiety, and therefore I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me when I go out into the community to ensure I am safe.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To support me in the community and supporting me to take my child to the local school

HOURS OF WORK

This is a temporary maternity cover position starting from September 2021 for a period of 9 months.

16 hours per week 

Set hour in the morning at 8:30am and set hour in the afternoon at 2:30pm for the school run. Other hours are negotiable. 

RATES OF PAY

£9.50 per hour plus mileage

 

TASKS CAN INCLUDE

 

  • Supporting to go into the community to go shopping, support me to take my child to and from school, to any appointments
  • Keep my safe when I am out in the community

 

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

 

  • Someone who is chatty and easy going, friendly, patient and someone who is flexible , punctual, trustworthy and reliable
  • Driver license needed , own car needed and Business Class Insurance
  • Someone who can use their own initiative and has common sense
  • Experience of working with people who has Epilepsy an advantage but not essential as training can be provided

 

ABOUT THE JOB

This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid every month on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living.  You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
