Apply Now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am an eighteen year old young woman living with my family in Aberdare. I have epilepsy and learning disabilities and require supervision and support out in the community. Sometimes, I can get frustrated that I cannot go out alone and this can cause me to be difficult to manage at home. I have previously had a PA and loved going out shopping with her. I am a very chatty young woman and easy to engage. I am easily able to communicate what activities I would like to do in the community. PURPOSE OF JOB To provide me with social opportunities outside the of my family and in the wider community PLACE OF WORK In the local area of Aberdare and surrounding areas, Nantgarw, Merthyr HOURS OF WORK 3 hours per week with additional 3 hours during school holidays RATE OF PAY £10.35 inc mileage where applicable TASKS INVOLVED Going out shopping Going to the cinema Going out for walks Finding activities in the local community Taking me out in your car Making sure I am safe at all times TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Someone who can complete epilepsy awareness training. Someone who can complete buccal midazolam training. Someone who is energetic and friendly Someone who has access to a car Someone who is able to help me organise activities ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You may be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Thank you.
