Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a lady in my early 20’s living in the Mountain Ash area with my mother and dog. I have Global Development Delay and I can get anxious. I do not like change. Also, certain noises and sounds can make me stressed. I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me to access the community. I enjoy Arts & Crafts. I would also like to volunteer for horse-riding. HOURS OF WORK Total of 6 hours per week 3 hours on a Monday 3 hours on a Friday Likely working time 11am to 1pm RATES OF PAY £10.00 per hour plus some mileage covered TASKS CAN INCLUDE Ensure my needs are met Keep me occupied and provide me with company Provide me with reassurance & ensure I am safe Social care Support me to access the community to develop my independence and mental wellbeing TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Reliable and punctual Considerate, caring and trustworthy Knowledge of how my conditions affects me Someone with similar interests or can suggest suitable activities Someone who is okay with dogs Driver, with own transport with business class insurance preferred ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
