Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME I'm a 23-year-old woman living in Pontypridd with my mum and cat called Lexi. I'm autistic and have ADHD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I struggle to regulate my emotions, and I get anxious when I go to unfamiliar places with unfamiliar people. I find socialising difficult and I usually go quite shy and quiet until I get to know someone. Once I get used to them I like to have a laugh and a joke. HOURS OF WORK There is 8 hours per week to be fulfilled which can be used flexible and arranged with the client. RATE OF PAY Hourly Rate £10.20 PURPOSE OF THE JOB To help me be more independent and gain confidence around new people and social situations. TASKS CAN INCLUDE -Supporting me to be more independent out in the community. -Help me to cope with social skills and my surroundings. -Reassure me when I get anxious or struggling to manage my emotions. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED -Patient, kind and friendly -Energetic, outgoing and easy to get along with -Has knowledge and understanding of Autism and the challenges that come with it -Must have a full UK drivers licence -Able to help with appointments and forms ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probationary period of 6 months will be necessary in the first instance. I will be your employer. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This job is subject to a DBS check.
