JOB DESCRIPTION

Part- time

SOMETHING ABOUT ME                         

I am a 29 year old female living in the Ynysybwl area. I enjoy going to the Theatre, cinema and generally being out and about. I have Epilepsy and cerebral palsy.

PLACE OF WORK

In and around the community and on occasion in my family home. You will support me at my voluntary job with the British Heart foundation in Aberdare. At no time will you be able to take me to another person’s home.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • To provide me with social engagement.
  • To support me within the community while ensuring my safety.
  • To take me to and support me at my voluntary job.
  • You will engage with me on a one to one basis
  • You will be required to carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the employer

HOURS OF WORK

5 hours per week - Most of these hours will be used on a Sunday when supporting me at my voluntary role with the British heart foundation.

RATE OF PAY

£10 per hour

40p mileage allowance

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.

You will agree that you will not take me to another person’s home while carrying out your PA duties.
