I have a learning disability and have Autistic Spectrum Disorder, I have also recently been diagnosed with Hypermobility. I am a bubbly person but I can sometimes be a bit ‘off’ with someone if I am tired. I like company but I also need people to know when to leave me alone. I enjoy listening to music, all music except classical. I like horse riding but have not been for a long while. I also like playing games consoles, arcade games and going out for food. I am looking for someone who will be able to take me out and about while promoting my independence and providing support when I require it. I am looking for a PA who can be a casual worker. PLACE OF WORK My home/ going out and about in the car/public transport. PURPOSE OF THE JOB The purpose of the job is to help me to gain independence away from the home as well as helping me manage my finances. HOURS OF WORK This is a casual position to cover my personal assistant when they are on sick/Annual leave. 13 hours per week RATE OF PAY £ 9.00 per hour TASKS CAN INCLUDE Taking me for meals or on shopping trips Taking me out in your car/public transport Helping me to manage my money and pay bills Company and companionship Accompanying me to appointments Accompanying me on holidays (Not essential to the job) TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Flexible Must be Reliable Car owner who is willing to use their car for all mileage we incur during working hours Able to work on own initiative Respectful of other people’s homes and property Someone who understands and respects confidentiality and privacy Someone who understands when I want to talk and when I don’t Someone who respects personal space Must like dogs and cats ABOUT THE JOB I will be your legal employer so you will need a National Insurance number. Pay will be monthly by cheque or bank transfer and appropriate paid annual leave is given. There will be trial period involved and a police check may be requested.
