Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a very happy and polite 9-year-old who as additional needs. I have global development delay, Autism, ADHD traits, nystagmus (twitchy eyes in which I wear glasses) I also have some anxiety issues in certain circumstances. I am constantly busy on my feet and thrive off interaction. So I need someone who has had experience with children in a similar situation to be able to keep me safe when in their care. PURPOSE OF THE JOB I'm looking for someone who can spend time with my daughter within the local area who is flexible in terms of days which will be spoken about in more detail. HOURS OF WORK 3 hours per fortnight days and times to be discussed at interview RATES OF PAY £10.00 per hour TASKS CAN INCLUDE Encouraging me to get out and do things socially Ensuring I am safe at all times as I need reminding about road safety etc Accompanying me out for walks Trips to the cinema, bowling and other activities I will enjoy TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED A driver will be essential Experience of working with autism would be an advantage Someone who is able to stay calm Someone who will engage with me and bring me out of my shell Someone who will be able to work flexible and will also be reliable ABOUT THE JOB This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
