Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a 49 year old man living in the Efail Isaf area of Pontypridd with my mother. I work in café 50 and I am a supervisor there. I supervise the clients and the staff and really enjoy working there as it gets me out of the house five days each week and gives me a lot of responsibilities. I am a very outgoing and chatty person who really enjoys socialising and interacting with others. I also really enjoy sports. I used to participate in swimming, archery and horse riding and like to watch any form of motorsport. PURPOSE OF THE JOB The main aim of the job is to help me get out of the house and into the community. The job will also be supporting me and my mother with some daily tasks such as shopping. HOURS OF WORK I have 6 hours per week available and these will generally be worked over two shifts. I am quite flexible so the days could be decided upon in interview. RATES OF PAY £11 per hour plus 40p per mile where applicable. TASKS CAN INCLUDE · Supporting me and my mother with shopping. · Going for a walk with me in the local area. · Taking me to appointments that I may have. · Taking me to the beach, this will most likely be to Porthcawl. · Potentially building up to occasional longer days out in places such as Cardiff or Weston Super Mare. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Someone who is reliable and punctual. A trustworthy person. A driver with business class insurance is essential. An open person who can I relate with. Someone who is chatty and sociable. A person who respects the privacy and confidentiality of working in someone else’s home. A patient and understanding person. ABOUT THE JOB This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay.
