JOB DESCRIPTION

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 14 year old girl living in the Aberdare area, I live with my mam, dad 3 siblings and our dog. I am a very sociable and chatty girl, but can be shy when I meet new people until I get to know them. When I am at home I like to watch TikTok videos, when I am out I like to go shopping, have my nails done and go to the local coffee shops.

I am in a wheelchair so will need someone to push me around when I am out, I currently have a catheter which my mam changes 6 times a day. I am due to have surgery in September, which will allow me to be able to do my catheter myself, but I may need a little support to help gain some independence and confidence with this.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To take me out and about in the community to gain confidence and independence when away from my family.

PLACE OF WORK

In the home and out in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

3 hours term time

8 hours school holidays

RATE OF PAY

£14.85 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

  • Going out shopping.
  • Having my nails done.
  • Encourage my confidence when away from my family.
  • Guidance with money and teaching me the values.
  • Support and guidance when changing my catheter.
  • I will need someone to push me in my wheelchair.

 

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

  • Someone who is confident and positive.
  • A Chatty and friendly person.
  • Someone who is an easy going person.
  • Similar interests- nails, shopping girly things (etc.)
  • Car driver with business class insurance.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
