VOG225 Personal Assistant Quote ref VOG225 on Application Form Apply Now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a lady in my fifties living with my dog in Penarth. I have physical disabilities including fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis as well some mental health issues which affect my confidence when going out and about and meeting new people. I can walk but not long distances due to my conditions and am unable to do a lot of everyday tasks due to the restrictive movement in my joints. I do smoke but limit this to one room in the house. In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog, looking around the charity shops in Penarth and playing backgammon on the computer. PURPOSE OF THE JOB To support me with domestic tasks around the home as well as accompanying me and encouraging me to get out in the community. HOURS OF WORK There are 6 hours per week available. I require support most days. Currently, the days I am recruiting for are Tuesday and Friday. Ideally the hours will be worked between 9am – 12pm on Tuesday and Friday, but this can be discussed further at interview. RATES OF PAY £10.30 per hour TASKS CAN INCLUDE Preparing and cooking a meal for me Cleaning my home Other odd jobs around the house as required; i.e changing bedding. Helping me put on my socks and shoes if needed due to my knee problems Helping me to attend any appointments I may have Accompanying me to walk my dog Weekly shopping TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Somebody who will be reliable Someone who doesn’t mind me being a smoker Someone who will be happy to walk my dog Previous experience would be desirable Someone who will encourage me to go out and care about my welfare A car driver will be essential with access to own vehicle ABOUT THE JOB Although this is a part-time job, it will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The salary will be paid on a calendar monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to a probationary period and a DBS (Police) Check.
