Part-time Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a Male in my 40’s living in the Rhoose area with my friendly dog. I was injured and have had an amputation of my left leg below the knee. I use a prosthetic limb and am keen on getting out walking my dog and back to the gym, I also enjoy gaming. I can suffer from Memory loss and would like someone to help me manage some day to day tasks.

PURPOSE OF JOB

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistants to assist with some daily living tasks, managing my paperwork and appointments, support and accompany me to appointments and social activities.

HOURS OF WORK

28 hours per week to be shared between 2 PAs

RATES OF PAY

£10.60 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

• Manage my paperwork
• Support and accompany me to appointments and social activities
• Support with meal preparation
• Some domestic duties including washing clothes
• Prompt reminders with medication
• Promote and enable my independence
• Keep me company while out on the dog’s walk

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

 

• Reliable and trustworthy
• Awareness of how my condition affects me
• Patient, calm and understanding
• Someone who doesn’t mind dogs

 

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
