Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION (Guidance) Part-time Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a young man in my early 20's living with my parents and siblings in Llantwit major. I'm looking for a personal assistant to support me to do various activities out in the wider community. I have some difficulties with dealing with money and time, I have autistic tendencies but have not had a diagnosis and I am registered as partially sighted. My mobility is generally good, but you would need to be aware that I will need more support and guidance when in unfamiliar surroundings due to my visual impairment (Nystagmus). Some of the activities I enjoy doing are trampolining, ten pin bowling, swimming, shopping, going out for food and occasionally popping to the pub for a game of pool. PURPOSE OF JOB To support me out in the wider community to access different activities, ensure I am safe, provide company and help build my social confidence. HOURS OF WORK 9 hours a week (weekday), days and times flexible RATES OF PAY £10.40 per hour , mileage allowance to be agreed with the employer. TASKS INVOLVED Swimming Ten pin bowling Going for food Social outings, community activities Shopping Going to the pub to play pool Any other reasonable task TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Reliable/Punctual Considerate/Caring/Trustworthy Friendly/Chatty Confident/Proactive Car driver with business class insurance Non smoker Young at heart Shares similar interests ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four Monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
