JOB DESCRIPTION

FEMALE Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 14 year old girl and I live in the Rhydyfelin area with my family. I have a dog, cat and tortoise. I enjoy sensory play, swimming, painting and generally making a mess, I am very laid back but also cheeky with wicked sense of humour. I am clever and can tell you what I want using my eyes. I have a diagnosis of Rett syndrome, which is a rare genetic disorder that affects brain development, resulting in mental and physical disability. I like watching YouTube, Jake and the Neverland pirates and squiglet are my favourite. I have scoliosis of the spine, which I am on the waiting list for an operation.

I am non-verbal and I only cry if I am hungry or thirsty, so you will need to give me something to eat or drink to help calm me down. I am on medication for seizures, which are controlled; I haven’t had a seizure for a long time.

Once you get to know my mischievous ways, you will love me like everyone else around me. I can stand unaided but I can’t walk unaided and I am a wheelchair user.
