Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): NVQ Level 2 in health and social care BTEC Level 2 in PBM ( Positive Behaviour Management) I have worked in the care industry since 2002 and have supported many adults with mental health problems, learning disabilities, epilepsy, dementia, diabetes and I have attended and completed many courses such as manual handling, health and safety, food hygiene, cosh, epilepsy, and personal centred planning. My last role was supporting a lady with Down syndrome. I was also a companion to an elderly lady for 15 years and nursed her in her last days of life.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): Caring, compassionate, punctual, honest, happy and respectful of the persons dignity at all times. I also have a love of animals if an individual has pets that’s great.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): It would depend on the individual as we are all different in our own lives

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I am looking for part time work that suits both the individual and myself as I have family I look after and my two dogs that are my babies. I love all animals. I am interested to chat and answer any questions put to myself by the individual seeking PA Support.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): Walking my dogs, crufts every year, movies, music, dancing, eating out and spending time with my family and looking after my father. I also like recycling old furniture and selling.
