JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I’m a 27 year old man living in Rumney. I use a power chair outside of the house and struggle to get around inside. I have 4 dogs plus other pets you will need to be an animal lover. I love indie music, rock, emo et cetera and going to gigs. I love gaming and TV shows, going to the cinema. I love going to food fairs, craft fairs and crafting. I like getting out and about. I struggle with a number of health problems, which cause complications and struggles in my daily life which is why I need help. PURPOSE OF JOB To help me maintain a high level of personal hygiene with showering, beard maintenance, dental hygiene, catheter care and changing my bed sheets. Help accessing the community if covering additional hours. PLACE OF WORK Primarily the job will take place in my home, but may involve trips out into the community from time to time. HOURS OF WORK 8 hours a week (2hrs 4 days a week) to be worked out between us. Additional hours may be available when other staff are on holiday or sick. RATE OF PAY £14.75 per hour. TASKS INVOLVED Assisting me with personal care and showering Ensuring bedding is clean Suprapubic Catheter care (belly catheter, experience not necessary) Keep me safe while having a seizure Occasional assistance with emails/admin Assisting me with leisure activities occasionally (if able to drive my mobility car) and keeping me safe when you are working TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED LGBT+ inclusive Reliable, Punctual and efficient Common sense and initiative.
