JOB DESCRIPTION

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 18 year old boy living in the Porth area. I enjoy going to McDonalds, the cinema and swimming. I have ASD and it can take me a while to warm to you. I am looking for PAs who are outgoing as I enjoy being out and about.

PURPOSE OF JOB

I am looking for two Personal Assistants for 2:1 support, to help me be as independent as possible and accompany me to do things I enjoy in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

7 hours per week

3.5 hours per week for each PA, to be worked during the week after school.

During the school holidays, the days/times are negotiable.

RATES OF PAY

£12.50 per hour, plus mileage for the PA that be driving 

TASKS INVOLVED

• To help me be as independent as possible
• Accompany me to do things I enjoy
• Support me while eating out plus with going swimming and to the cinema

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

• Reliable and punctual
• Encouraging, patient and outgoing
• Experience of children with additional needs
• One PA to be a sensible driver, with business class insurance

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
