I previously worked on a physical disability unit from 2017 to November 2022. I have qcf level 2 in health and social care, moving and handling, and I am registered with social Care Wales. I have a current dbs on the update service also. I also have experience in residential care and caring for the elderly.
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): To be reliable and approachable. To maintain person centered approach and ensure client feels valued and respected always, maintaining dignity and independence. Building a strong bond and trusting relationship and being flexible to meet the needs of the client.
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I have experience working within disabilities so I am confident and resilient. I have transferable skills from my experience and am always eager to learn new skills and develop my knowledge and understanding.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I have worked within care homes and agency and I feel I am ready for a new challenge. I would like to work closely and build trust with a client I can help and benefit.
What are your hobbies/interests?: I enjoy the outdoors, going walking, the beach, countryside. I enjoy coffee shops and cinema, and visiting new places, especially historical places. I love animals, craft, arts, gardening.
