My experience within the care sector has mainly been with family and neighbours, I believe during my life experiences I have developed skills and qualities that are transferable to anything I put my mind to.
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): Empathy, patience, open communication, and a willingness to accommodate specific needs are crucial when working with a disabled person. Understanding and respecting their unique abilities and challenges contribute to a supportive and inclusive environment.
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I can provide assistance and support in various ways, whether it be helping with daily activities, encouragement, offering advice on technology which enables more independence, driving to appointments or places of interest, and mainly just being a friend.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): The fulfilment from working as a personal assistant and leaving a positive impact on someone’s wellbeing and contributing to their quality of life.
What are your hobbies/interests?: I enjoy traveling to learn about different cultures and traditions. Photography has also been a passion in my life. I like to go for walks/hikes especially if there are mountains involved. D.I.Y. car mechanics is another area I spend my free time in. Lover of all animals.
