Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I am a clinical reflexologist ( 10 years experience ) I work with clients with a variety of health conditions , within treatment rooms , hospitals and nursing / care homes. My mother & father are both disabled and use Dewis services.
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): Having seen the positive impact of my parents PA, I would very much welcome of having such a benefit to someone else’s life. I am a 46 year old female , previously working as Head of HR in NHS wales before my career change. I love people , I love chatting ! I enjoy theatre , musicals , singing ( although I have a terrible voice !) travelling and eating !
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I live in Pen y Fai Bridgend, I have a full clean driving licence and a Jaguar IPace car. I volunteer for Sandville self help centre in Porthcawl and looking to start working with the Dementia in support charity Head for Change.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I am empathetic & caring. I love helping people, I get such reward from making a positive difference to peoples lives. I love people/ laughing / chatting, I have lots of love experience, personally and professionally. I am able to transport , accompany and generally spend quality time with someone to positivity impact on their lives. I have lots of social circles , including the charities I volunteer for and very happy to integrate the person I work with into such, should they wish. I am a very outgoing, friendly positive sociable person, I love to laugh and therefore think I would work well with someone of a similar disposition. I love helping people through my role as a reflexologist & while volunteering. I would love to enhance this further by starting to support others as a PA.
