Training courses are available for Personal Assistants, Micro Enterprises and Unpaid Carers who are looking to enhance their career in the caring profession.

Cardiff Council can provide free learning resources, eg.

  • Safeguarding
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid

Please speak to your employer if you wish to attend a training course.

Cardiff Social Care Induction Programme

The Cardiff Social Care Induction Programme will run on a monthly basis and will be delivered as a ‘pick and mix’ menu of options. You can choose to access the learning opportunity that has either been identified as a learning need or is most applicable to your role and responsibilities. Social Care Fundamentals of Care Programme

The Cardiff Social Care Fundamentals of Care Programme is a 7-day course run over a three-month period, designed to equip attendees, who have completed their induction (mandatory) training, with the essential knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care to the individuals they support.
