After leaving school I worked in retail shops such as Tesco one stop and Halfords. I then started working in health and social care for 3 years I worked at castle care as a support worker for people with mental health. The last almost 3 years I have worked as a home care assistant for elderly people in their own homes, so I am confident with personal care, hoisting, using aids such as wheelchairs. Assisting with medication and house keeping. I have my QCF level 2 in health and social care and a fast track CRB check. I am currently working for Angeni support.What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I’m confident in my job as I have been working with people with all different disabilities for a long time. I’m chatty and I enjoy my work. Good time keeping and always happy to learn new things.How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person?
