Title (required): Miss
Town (required): Penarth

I confirm that I have the right to work in the UK and am able to prove my eligibility status when required to do so. (required): Yes
Please read the Job Description carefully before providing information in this Section of the Application Form. Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required):

I have had experience with 3 separate grand parents who suffered with dementia, one of them lived with me and my family for over 9 years before she passed. My grand farther had Lewy body dementia so I witnessed first hand how it affects people in the most peculiar ways. My mother has always needed support with care if for my great grand mother so I feel as though I can confidently care and assist and individual with dementia with day to day tasks (especially on the harder days when they don’t want to take their medication). With my personal experience with different types of dementia I’m confidant that’s I would be a good fit for these roles.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required):

I believe the ability to be sympathetic but also stern when needed is vital when looking after an individual. To me it is important to create a bond with the person and be able to uphold and conversation and be able to relate to them on a more personal level.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required):

I’m able to understand when I need to be stern and when I should not push boundaries any further, I’m very aware of the line many may have between being comfortable and uncomfortable which is important when being in another persons home.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required):

With my personal experience I have seen how people deteriorate and how hard it is for a family to see first hand, by having our team of carers in it helped put the pressure off us as a family and allowed us to do activities without worrying about anything else. This is a level of support and comfort I would love to give to another family.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required):

As much as I love going on walks and spending time with my friends, I’m a home body who loves to read and do all things from the comfort of my home, such as baking and cooking and playing a card game or a board game.
