I worked for 2 separate service users as a PA for approximately 2 years. I provided respite, personal care, shopping and light domestic duties. Prior to that I worked as a carer for Allied Healthcare for just over 4 years.What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): All Wales manual handling training QCF Level 2 in Health and Social CareHow do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I have in excess of 7 years experience working in the healthcare sector. I believe in treating people with respect and kindness. It’s also important to promote independence by encouraging the service user to do things for themselves. I believe in building relationships so that both parties get to know and trust each other.
