Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I began an apprenticeship working in a nursery where I had to undertake several tasks like .working one on one with children .cleaning/feeding children .taking children outdoors I also have experience in a primary school where I had to .take on one on one tasks(crafts,educational,fun) with children whom were autistic/adhd .engage in circle time .engage in taking children on trips/outdoors
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I believe someone who works with a disabled person should be .very empathetic .understanding .able to adapt to quick changing situations .able to remain calm .steady and calm voice/attitude .able to understand and communicate in ways which the patient understands and prefers
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I believe I can contribute to the needs and independence of a disabled person extremely well as I have been bought up around caring for disabled people like my mum who is blind Upon working with kids I have developed a lot of experience where I have had to adapt/change our surrounds/my approach quickly due to the child’s needs I am very creative and come up with amazing and engaging activities to do with children which are not only educational but also fun
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I am drawn to helping people due to growing up with a blind mum and uncle. Throughout my life I have always been wanting to help people as a career option in adult hood. Helping people and seeing their personal development is the best thing a person can receive knowing you’ve helped change someone for the better
What are your hobbies/interests?: I am very creative so I love to make and create things I am very organised so I love to plan and design things such as educational and fun creative activities that stimulate the brain
