This year, we were determined not to miss the Christmas donation window for our local foodbank. After getting in touch with Pontypridd Foodbank, we learned that they were putting together Christmas Hampers for individuals and families who rely on their support over the festive season. Alongside their emergency 3-day parcels, these hampers provide a little extra comfort for those facing crisis at Christmas.

They were looking for a range of festive food items, including:

• Christmas puddings (small or large)

• Tinned ham (small or large)

• Biscuits

• Mince pies

• Savoury snacks (e.g., peanuts, crisps, crackers)

• Selection boxes

• Christmas cake or chocolate log

• Christmas crackers

• Small gifts for family members (toys, toiletries, etc.)

Today, Direct Payments Manager Greg and Direct Payments Advisor Taylor delivered all donated items to the Pontypridd Foodbank in Treforest. Staff at the foodbank told us that these contributions will go straight back out to families in need, making an immediate difference.

We are incredibly grateful to be in a position to support our community. Every donation — big or small — truly helps. Food banks do vital work all year round, and together, we can offer hope and comfort when it’s needed most.
