Health and Wellbeing Framework for the Social Care Workforce Practice Solutions are supporting Social Care Wales to develop a health and wellbeing framework for the Social Care Workforce. We hope that this project will shine a light on health and wellbeing and how it is measured. The project will consider what staff expect of their employer and, in turn, what the employer expects of staff, the priorities for good health and well-being, and what more needs to be done to improve it. To inform this we currently have a number of ways that staff can engage this week and the next few weeks in the run up to Christmas. We need as many of the workforce as possible to feed into this project and their input is vital, as this work is key to wellbeing. The findings of this first pre-Christmas phase, will help us to develop an extensive health and wellbeing survey and a staff governance framework in the new year, which crucially, will inform the new Health & Wellbeing Framework. Here are the various ways that the social care workforce can currently get involved: Through our series of virtual workforce viewpoint panel events (happening now - 15 December 2020) You will see that there are 3 virtual engagement events for each Local Authority Region as well as individual events for Domiciliary Care, Care Homes, independent providers, registered social landlords, supported living, etc and we would appreciate your help in making sure people know about these sessions so that your region is represented. · These workforce viewpoint panels will only be for 10-12 participants and will take 1.5 hours. · Staff can register on the sessions using Eventbrite. · Please visit our Engagement events page for more information on how to book. Through our quick online survey · Taking just a few minutes this short survey will provide us with crucial information on priority areas to focus on · English link here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SCWwellbeingEng · Cymraeg link here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SCWwellbeingCYM Team briefing pack · For managers or those who wish to have a conversation with colleagues · Please visit our website link SCW - Health and Wellbeing Framework (practicesolutions-ltd.co.uk) to download an English or Welsh Pack. 4. You can send us your views directly · We appreciate how everyone has time to fill out surveys, so if staff want to send us a quick anonymous message you can record an audio message here: https://bit.ly/CareWFAudio · Email Glenda George on [email protected] · Or call 01443 742384 for further information or discussions Given the short timeframes, we would really appreciate your help in sharing this information widely across your teams, partner organisations and the wider social care sector. From the feedback we have already received so far, we know that these critical discussions are something that staff are passionate about being involved in. Should you have any questions about this work or the opportunities to give your views, please do not hesitate to get in touch – [email protected] or contact me or Glenda George on 01443 742384.
