Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a young boy living in the fairwater area of Cardiff. I am adventurous and I like to try new things. I have Autism and because of this I have no awareness of danger. I will need a PA who can keep me safe. I like to keep to my daily routine and will need a PA who will understand this.

 

PURPOSE OF JOB

I need a PA who can take me out in the community so I can meet new people. This will allow me to develop my socialising skills. Allow me to access activities I enjoy.

 

PLACE OF WORK

Home and in the community.

 

HOURS OF WORK

4 hours per week

 

RATE OF PAY

 £12.60 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

• Encouraging me to use the toilet
• Take me out in the community and ensure I am safe
• Keep me occupied and engaged in activities

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

• Driver and car owner
• Patient
• Friendly
• Kind

 

Desirable qualities

• Has an understanding of Autism

 

 

ABOUT THE JOB

 

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A probation period will be necessary in the first instance.  Wages will be paid 4 weekly.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
