JOB DESCRIPTION

Part-Time Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 14 year old boy, living with my family in the Miskin area of Mountain Ash.

I have an acquired brain injury which means I need some help, support and guidance when I’m at home and when I go out and about in the community.

I attend school which keeps me busy during the week and I generally spend time with my family at weekends.

I sometimes use a wheelchair to get about when I’m out of the house due to fatigue, but most of the time I’m quite active.

I’m a personable young man who likes to keep fit and active. I really like golf, swimming and climbing. I like to go trampolining too. I’m also interested in carpentry and making things.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

My parents are looking to employ a personal assistant to take me out into the community to undertake social and leisure activities, helping to maintain my independence.

I’m preferably looking for someone who would interact and participate in activities with me. This could be going to the golf range, taking me swimming or to the cinema, going to McDonald’s or going fishing.

Plus Mileage Allowance (when applicable)
