Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I currently work in a SEN school with primary ages with a range of additional needs. I build positive relationships, have patience and great understanding of needs. I manage routines very well and can easily change my approach depending on the child.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): It is very important that you are supporting and understanding of the child. You must be patience and just be able to regulate emotions and I do these on a daily basis so this is no problem for me.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I would love to be the child’s ‘safe’ person outside of the household/school setting. It’s so important for children with SEN to have a change of face and feel safe around others. I do drive and have access to my own vehicle so getting out and about doing things they love would be no bother.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): Making said child feel that they have the independence to do the things that they love with their ‘safe’ person and feel like they have some independence.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): - Watching movies - Car drives - Shopping trips - Being outdoors
