Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I have 4 years of professional experience working as a Care Assistant in home care (Hemtjänst) in Gothenburg, Sweden. While much of my previous experience has been with older adults, it taught me how to be deeply caring, patient, and highly attentive to an individuals specific physical and emotional needs. I am very comfortable managing daily schedules, supporting personal independence, and building strong, trusting relationships with the people I suppor
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I believe the most important qualities are empathy, patience, a positive attitude, and being a genuinely supportive friend. It is crucial to be a good listener and to understand how someone is feeling so you can adapt to their energy. A great PA should be someone who brings joy, pushes for positive thoughts, and focuses entirely on what the person enjoys doing, making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and happy every single day
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I can contribute by being an active, encouraging companion who focuses on what he can and wants to do. I want to build a real friendship where we can chat, hang out, and do activities together. I am more than happy to do everything he enjoys, whether that means staying at home to play video games together, talking, or going out. By keeping the energy positive and pushing him toward optimistic thoughts, I can support both his emotional well-being and his daily independence.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): What appeals to me most is the opportunity to make a direct, positive impact on a young persons life through genuine companionship. I am a very helpful, caring, and social person, and the idea of ​​being a supportive friend to someone sharing hobbies like video games, doing things together, and keeping them happy is incredibly rewarding to me. This role allows me to combine my professional care experience with my positive personality to create a fun and uplifting environment.
What are your hobbies/interests? (required): In my free time, I really enjoy playing video games, which is a great way for me to unwind and have fun. I am also deeply interested in new technology and love keeping up with the latest tech trends and developments. To relax and learn new things, I enjoy reading books. I am someone who always loves to develop myself and learn new skills. Additionally, I like staying active by going out for walks to clear my head and get some fresh air
