JOB DESCRIPTION

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 7 year old boy living in the Pentre area, I live with my parents and my 3 siblings. I am a very energetic boy, I love going out and about with my family and experiencing new places. I love animals we have a cat and 2 small snakes living with us, I enjoy visiting the reptile pet shop also.

I am seeking a PA to help look after me when I am out with my family, my parents would like someone to come on family day outs to help and offer support to my parents.

When the weather is not good we will attend indoor activities, sometimes I can have outburst, when this happens I generally respond well to routine and my now and then board helps me understand if anything changes in my routine.

I have autism and diabetes, but it does not stop me enjoying and taking part in activities.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To assistant and support the family when out and about.

PLACE OF WORK

Out in the community. 

HOURS OF WORK

6 hours a week in school holidays.

RATE OF PAY

£12.20 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

Support the family when out.

To accompany parents with appointments.

 

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

• Someone who is punctual and reliable.
• Someone who is outgoing and proactive.
• Someone who is caring and supportive.
• Someone who is good with animals.
• Someone with experience of autism would be an advantage, but not essential.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
