 Part-time Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a lady in my late 60’s and I’m based in a flat within an independent living building in the Barry area. I have a learning disability and epilepsy. I also use a walking aid. I spend most of my time in my flat, I watch TV / videos, complete quizzes and I knit. I would like to go shopping, out for coffee and to activities such as music club, knitting club and singing group. 

PURPOSE OF JOB

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to take me out in the community. This position is to replace my PA who is retiring in May 2024.

HOURS OF WORK

10 hours per week, will be worked over a few days, can be discussed at interview.

RATES OF PAY

£13.20 per hour

v Take me out into the community

v Assist me to go shopping and to other activities I’ll enjoy

v Take me out for coffee

v Accompany to hospital appointments

v Keep me company

v Ensure I am safe at all times

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).

The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
