I spent many years caring for family members in Ukraine and, prior to the war I was working in a hospital in the Emergency department transporting patients from ambulances and between wards. I do not have any formal qualifications in this sector but underwent training in the hospital and in order to care for my mother for 4 years. This included taking her blood pressure, administering intra-muscular injections and liaising with her doctor.
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): To my mind, the most important quality is to be patient, calm, responsible, to understand that all people have their own individual needs.
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I am ready to provide any help necessary, I am a good listener and I have good social skills. I can provide medical support and I know how to take care for elderly people. I am someone who, if I see something that needs doing, will do it. I love being part of a team and I am a very positive and kind person. I enjoy being with people, am very caring, and really want to help others and give something back to the UK.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I think, that I am suitable for PA role as I love working with people, be useful, help those who need extra support and help, I am patient and sociable.
What are your hobbies/interests?: I love nature, animals, I have a cat and snails. I love hairdressing and walking.
