 Swansea University Degree: Criminology and Criminal Justice (graduate summer 2025). Previous employment: David Lush Butchers (2019-2021), public facing job. I have been a volunteer in Pharos Pantry food bank since my Welsh Bacc GCSE to support members of the community.
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required):

I believe when working with a disabled person it is important to be understanding of the persons condition and keen to learn how it effects their daily life. Being empathetic and being a good listener is important to maintain a friendly relationship. Understanding the limitations that a disabled person may face is crucial but also being able to inspire someone to reach their full potential is important.

 
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required):

 I think I am a kind person that goes above and beyond to ensure those around me are comfortable and happy and I take that same approach into my work ethic. I enjoy getting to know knew people and having the opportunity to build on their confidence as we go into the community together is something I would really enjoy. I think I have a great balance of being able to support someone during the difficult times and to problem solve to work these out but I would also bring a sense of humour and kindness to the approach.

 
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required):

I would get great fulfilment out of supporting a member of my community to strive for more in their life. Im a good communicator so having a job that is social is really important to me for my own mental wellbeing as well. I also enjoy the flexibility around PA work and ensuring I can bring a positive light into other lives.

 
What are your hobbies/interests? (required):

I am a keen badminton player, which is something I have taken part in during my time at University. I also rock climb as I enjoy challenging myself and trying new activities.
