How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I think I can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person by adopting a person-centred approach that respects their dignity, autonomy, and preferences. I would seek to support, not control, what they do and help them make their own choices in all aspects of their lives. I would also try to understand their perspective and avoid making assumptions or judgments about their abilities or limitations. I would offer assistance only when needed or requested, and encourage them to use their strengths and skills to achieve their goals. I would also work with them to identify and overcome any barriers that may prevent them from participating in activities that are meaningful and enjoyable for them. I would aim to create a positive and supportive environment that fosters their confidence and self-esteem.
