Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I’ve worked in various roles in the past with children, such as in Nurseries as a Nursery Nurse, or as a private Nanny. I’ve also done voluntary work in a playgroup and I’ve helped disabled children to learn to swim.


What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I think that the qualities of patience, understanding, calmness and of respecting a child’s right to confidentiality are important in this role. I would always treat the child with dignity and would ensure that their needs are being met.


How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I think that I would support the child to attend any activities, which would help them to have a good quality of life. I would also encourage the child to make their own choices about what activities they would like to do.


What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I like to be able to support the child, so that she can have the opportunity to meet others and enjoy whatever she likes doing. I also feel that it is very worthwhile when I can make a difference to the child’s life.


What are your hobbies/interests?: I enjoy going to the cinema, walking in parks and in the countryside, as well as reading and watching the TV with my husband. I like going swimming and going out for meals with friends and family.
