(required): I currently live with neurodivergent people, and being unemployed at the moment, I have taken the role of making sure there is food in the house, I cook, clean, and make sure they are comfortable and safe. I also have had many experiences helping others out when in need, I understand what to do and how to act during an accident or crisis. I think, just in general, I have great emotional intelligence that would suit this role perfectly. I am also a Non-binary person myself and have a good understanding of trans issues, and I have been through the NHS gender clinic, too. I am a deeply caring individual who understands that people are free to make their own decisions and should be proud of who they are. So, being a part of the LGBTQA community really would make me great for the role. (required): Empathy is the main quality when it comes to working and supporting anyone. I think emotional intelligence is key to understanding what needs to be done and how to make the person feel safe and comfortable in any situation. When it comes to people with disabilities, it is vital that they feel safe and comfortable, and not alienated in any way, this comes with passion, understanding, and empathy. aside from the emotional side of things, strong, effective communication skills are a must, along with a personable attitude and personality. Communication skills are key for creating plans and schedules, the ability to make appointments, and communicating with third parties (doctors, vets, etc.) about exactly what is going on in the persons life and then passing that information back to the person youre assisting. Other key qualities include: Cooking Cleaning Patience Physically fit Caring Understanding Motivation Passion Open-mindedness How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I am a very self-reliant person who works well as part of a team, and as an individual, my independence would lend a hand to the other persons independence. I can collect medication, I can attend appointments, and I can cook and clean without any guidance or prompt. I would be able to do tasks to spare the time of the individual, offering them the chance to do things they have planned. My passion for helping and providing would greatly improve the day-to-day life of an independent disabled person. I would want to provide them the right to have their own time and do the things they need to do, to stay independent. What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): Its a really simple answer that doesnt hold any flashy words or paragraphs, its simply helping others. I have a real love for providing and supporting people. I want to make peoples lives easier and more beneficial by offering support, care, and understanding to a marginalised group. What are your hobbies/interests? (required): I have a real passion for art and design I love interior design and architectural visualization. I use Blender to create 3D models of rooms and houses. I also really enjoy photography, often taking my camera out to Cardiff city center to take some street photography. Anything creative I adore. other hobbies and interests include gaming, I love playing RPGs, RTSs, Sandbox games, and Horror games, I love the artistry that goes into them and love sound and music design. I also really enjoy making my own sound and music, sound design is a really fun and interesting medium. I enjoy space and understanding more about our universe and solar system anything science and science-related is always fun.
