Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I’m an architect from Peru. I’m currently an international Master’s student at Cardiff University. I have experience with older ladies, as I have several back home, my aunties. I enjoy talking to people, and the profile of this lady is very interesting as she seems like a nice and pleasant companion.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): To understand them, to be empathic and to be able to provide solutions, which Im great at.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): As I mentioned before, Im used to spend time with older people, my parents, my aunts and I always try to make their lives easier by helping them, and at the same time not let them feel like a problem or a burden.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I like to help people, especially if they are in trouble.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): I like to cook, to draw, to do some crochet, and enjoy walks in the park, and many other different indoor or outdoor activities.

Would you consider a casual position if you are unsuccessful with this job? (required): Yes

Do you speak any other languages? if so what do you speak?  (required): Spanish is my native language.

Do you drive? (required): No

Are you able to undertake training? (required): Yes

What days/nights are you able to work, or prefer to work?  (required): According to the ad it is for daytime work, so I can do that.

Are there any circumstances which would prevent you from providing cover or swapping a shift? (required): Yes

If you would like to expand on the answers given above? Please use the box below.: Well, I’m studying, so the only days I couldn’t assist the lady are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 am because I have classes at that time. The rest of the time is suitable for the Masters schedule.

 

In what capacity do you know this person (should not be a family member)?  (required): I dont have references here, since Im from Peru. My references could only give them in Spanish. Not sure if you can accept that.

Do you have portable DBS (which has been paid for and renewed for the current year)? (required): No/

Is there is any such information you wish to disclose, relating to any cautions or convictions which will appear on your mandatory DBS check? (required): No/
