Where did you hear about our PA vacancies? (required): Dewis CIL Website

I confirm that I have the right to work in the UK and am able to prove my eligibility status when required to do so. (required): Yes

Please read the Job Description carefully before providing information in this Section of the Application Form. Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I have experience working in fast-paced UK work environments where reliability, teamwork, and following strict procedures are essential. In my production and warehouse roles, I consistently followed health and safety guidelines, maintained high standards of cleanliness and organisation, and worked responsibly as part of a team to meet daily targets. These roles helped me develop strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. I have also completed caregiver training (NVQ Level 3) and First Aid training, which provided me with knowledge of safe care practices, infection control, emergency response, and supporting individuals respectfully and professionally. I am a caring, patient, and dependable person who is committed to learning, following care plans, and providing high-quality support while respecting dignity, confidentiality, and individual needs.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): When working as a personal assistant with a disabled person, it is important to be patient, compassionate, and respectful, while always promoting dignity, independence, and choice. Good communication skills are essential to understand individual needs and preferences, as well as to build trust and a supportive relationship. Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations are also very important. Having completed caregiver training (NVQ Level 3) and First Aid training, I understand the importance of safe care practices, following care plans, maintaining confidentiality, and responding appropriately in emergencies. I believe combining professional training with empathy, respect, and a positive attitude is key to providing high-quality, person-centred support.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I can contribute to the needs and independence of a disabled person by providing person-centred support that respects their choices, routines, and preferences. I would encourage independence by supporting individuals to do as much as they are able to for themselves, while offering assistance only where needed to ensure safety and comfort. With my caregiver training (NVQ Level 3) and First Aid training, I understand the importance of following care plans, using safe techniques, and responding appropriately in emergencies. I am patient, reliable, and supportive, and I aim to build trust while promoting dignity, confidence, and independence in everyday activities.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): Personal Assistant (PA) work appeals to me because it allows me to provide one-to-one, person-centred support and make a meaningful difference in someone’s daily life. I value the opportunity to build trust, understand individual needs, and support people in a way that promotes independence, dignity, and choice. I am motivated by helping others live more confidently and comfortably in their own environment, and I find PA work rewarding because it combines practical support, responsibility, and compassion while allowing me to develop my skills and contribute positively to someone’s wellbeing.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): My hobbies and interests include helping and supporting others, spending time with people, and engaging in activities that promote wellbeing and positivity. I enjoy listening to others, having meaningful conversations, and providing emotional support, which helps me build strong and trusting relationships. I am also interested in learning more about care and wellbeing, maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle, and taking part in calm activities such as walking, light exercise, and creating a comfortable and organised environment.
