Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): Although I do not have formal experience as a Personal Assistant, I am a caring, responsible, and reliable person who enjoys working with children. I am patient, calm, and able to follow routines, which is important when supporting a family. I am happy to help with school runs, household tasks, cooking, and accompanying to appointments or activities. I am willing to learn, flexible with my availability, and understand the importance of privacy, safety, and confidentiality.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): The most important qualities are patience, kindness, and reliability. A personal assistant should respect privacy and confidentiality, be calm in difficult situations, and use common sense. Being flexible, understanding individual needs, and having good communication skills are also important. Most importantly, a PA should be supportive, trustworthy, and willing to learn while helping the person live as independently and safely as possible

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I can contribute by offering reliable and respectful support while encouraging independence. I would assist only where needed, follow routines, and adapt support depending on the person’s needs. I would help create a safe environment, support daily tasks, and always respect personal choices, privacy, and dignity, so the person can live as independently and confidently as possible.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): PA work appeals to me because it allows me to support someone in a meaningful way and make a positive difference in their daily life. I enjoy helping others, especially families and children, and I like the one-to-one nature of PA work where trust, understanding, and independence are important. I find it rewarding to help someone feel safe, supported, and able to live as independently as possible.

What are your hobbies/interests? (required): I enjoy playing chess, as it helps me develop patience, focus, and problem-solving skills. I also like spending time with children, listening to music, and cooking.

Would you consider a casual position if you are unsuccessful with this job? (required): Yes

Do you speak any other languages? if so what do you speak?  (required): Yes. I speak Sinhala fluently and English confidently.

What days/nights are you able to work, or prefer to work?  (required): I am flexible and available to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings across the week. I am happy to work on weekdays and weekends as required.
