What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I believe the most important qualities when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person are empathy, patience, and reliability. It’s important to understand the person’s needs and respect their independence while offering the right level of support.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I believe I can contribute to the needs and independence of a disabled person by providing the right balance of support and encouragement. I would assist them with daily tasks when needed, but also motivate and give them the confidence to do things on their own whenever possible. I think it’s important to listen carefully to their preferences and respect their choices, so the support I provide helps them maintain control and dignity in their life.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): What appeals to me most about PA work is the opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s daily life. I enjoy helping people and supporting them to live as independently and comfortably as possible. This role allows me to build a trusting relationship, offer practical help, and provide companionship at the same time.
