How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): - I believe the first step is to have the qualities and the knowledge to support the person and secondly putting them to use. - It is also important to understand the needs of the person as specified in the job description or the care plan. This will give me a guide as to what the person needs on a day to day basis and how I can plan to support them. - I will support the person on their day to day activities. However, I will also encourage them to do some tasks by showing them how it is done and encourage them to do it while I watch them thereby enabling them to make their own choices and live autonomously. - I can also promote inclusion for them by involving them in activities that can improve their wellbeing e.g. conversation around their care plan and social activities and events.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I like the opportunity to be able to support people with their basic day to day activities like meal preparation, household chores, personal care, medication and mobility assistance. I am happy when I am able to assist them in living independent lives.
