(required): - I believe the first step is to have the qualities and the knowledge to support the person and secondly putting them to use. - It is also important to understand the needs of the person as specified in the job description or the care plan. This will give me a guide as to what the person needs on a day to day basis and how I can plan to support them. - I will support the person on their day to day activities. However, I will also encourage them to do some tasks by showing them how it is done and encourage them to do it while I watch them thereby enabling them to make their own choices and live autonomously. - I can also promote inclusion for them by involving them in activities that can improve their wellbeing e.g. conversation around their care plan and social activities and events.
