What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): Being a personal assistant for a disabled individual requires patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. It’s important to be reliable, respectful, and adaptable to the individual’s needs, while promoting their dignity, independence, and inclusion. How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I believe I can contribute positively to supporting the needs and independence of a disabled person through my previous experience working in a special needs school and holiday clubs with both neurotypical and neurodivergent children. These roles have strengthened my ability to provide patient, person-centred support while encouraging confidence and autonomy.
